While wetlands occur across the North American continent, the coastal plain of the Gulf and Atlantic coasts is a geographic region with particularly abundant wetlands. Before you buy, it is essential to determine the extent of regulated wetland areas on a property. Such determinations, termed “wetland delineation”, can be accomplished at varying degrees of complexity depending on the objective.
